What is a Servo Motor?
A Servo motor is a device in the motion control system of machines. Servo motors work similarly to actuators, allowing precise control of the signal's velocity, acceleration, angle, and linear position.
The structure of the servo motor includes 4 parts: DC motor, gear transmission, sensor, and control circuit. In particular, the gear mechanism is connected to the DC motor to provide feedback signals for the position-sensing system. Servo motor gears can be made of 2 materials: plastic or metal. Besides, high-power Servo motors require gears made of metal materials.
Servo motors are divided into two types based on the type of power supply. If the power supply is DC, the motor is called a DC Servo motor. Similarly, it is called an AC Servo motor if the power supply is AC.
How is Servo Motor used?
