HELUKABEL's range of products for the wind power industry contains cables and wires that are found in all components of wind turbines, including the nacelle, the tower, and the grid connection, to name a few. This includes highly flexible aluminium cables from the HELUWIND WK POWERLINE series, which can run the entire height of the tower without needing to be spliced or class 2 pre-assembled, stranded conductors that can be pre-installed in the individual tower segments.
Even torsion-resistant cables with diameters ranging from 0.14 to 400 mm2 and varying insulation materials and voltage levels can be found in HELUKABEL’s portfolio. Using our own testing tower, HELUWIND WK series cable loops are reconstructed at a 1:1 scale and tested in conditions similar to real life applications. The cables are not only outstandingly mechanically durable, but are also resistant to extreme temperatures, oils, ozone, and UV radiation. Furthermore, they are available with various international approvals such as VDE, UL, or CSA. This makes them suited for global use in a large number of wind power applications.
Our range of products includes heat-resistant cables for generator connections and slip ring transmitter applications, Ethernet cables and bus technology for communicating data, as well as pre-assembled fibre optic cables in varying constructions that are available as a plug-and-play solution for quick, on-site installation.
